Today, the most highly recommended Vanilla private server ?
I'm planning to get back into WoW once the retail Classic servers are launched (hopefully sometime this year). To test the various classes and other features I decided it would be beneficial to play on private servers similar to the blizzlike.
I'd rather spend the next few weeks leveling up toons, rather than starting one on the retail servers and then regretting me decision one month in...
Which one should you pick?
Elysium
Light's Hope
Kronos
Any other servers I should be aware about ?
What I'm looking for is a server with 1x rates, with blizzlike (preferably with dungeons that work) and stable servers. mid/high pop, no gear/gold from the shop.

It would be a terrible idea to play on Elysium. LH and Kronos are much better. There's a bad past to Elysium - they really screwed over the vanilla private server community by lying to obtain the code and players from Nostalrius, and then using it to make money for themselves (by selling gold on the server and so on. ).

If you want a pve server to test classes on, https://symmetrywow.com/ can be good to test content / classes on. It's a low-pop server but it could be 200 on during EU primetime.

kronos is sub 1k pop
By removing all politics and drama, the health of Northdale is the best and it will likely last longer than other communities. It is the newest (FRESHEST!) and its content patches will seamlessly into Classics release timeline. Northdale is the best option for someone who doesn't want to invest in drama on pservers but still wants to play a blizzlike server while waiting for Classic.
I have two 60s on the Nighthaven server. I've always had fun there.
