NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from 2019 and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from the year before.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to witness a second rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers of the year 2019," he stated. "The United States has been our largest market for Israel's tourism inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we were celebrating record figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.

Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) said that "it is exciting to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is booming." "We are getting close to our record 2019 numbers. We anticipate that this increase will continue as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.
In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening to all travelers regardless of vaccination status in May of this year The country has received over 600,400 US tourists.
