Neve Paritzki Israel Reliably Breaks Records in Tourism Entry Numbers United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today announced new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in August 2022.

He stated, "It's so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from America, which is already in the process of surpassing or exceeding our record-breaking numbers for 2019". "The United States is our most important market for Israel's inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we saw record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel every month. We are thrilled to have witnessed this positive change and expect this trend to last for many months and years."

Canada which isn't too far behind the United States of America, is set to beat the tourist numbers to Israel. It reached 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in tourists in August.

Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director of Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism said that it was thrilling to see tourism from Canada to Israel rebounding. "We are not far from our record in 2019 and we are anticipating that the rise in travel to Israel will continue to grow because Canadians are more comfortable traveling internationally."


In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening for all travelers regardless of vaccination status in May of this year Israel has seen more than 600,400 US travelers.
