I'm just getting acquainted with this website, DailyMotion.com. I mean, obviously I've known this site for quite a while, it used to be just one of the three most popular video sites back when video was just beginning to take off - Youtube, Vimeo and Dailymotion. Have a look at it now. The Dailymotion website is packed with of the most innovative video content that is available online. Take a closer look at the site with me and you'll be able to agree that Daily should be one of your top sites to go to each day. Yes, I used the Daily site twice for fun.

Here's the things you should be aware of when visiting Daily Motion. The site is filled with live news streams. Anything that isn't C-Span-style or mainstream will be featured on DailyMotion. It features most of the professional journalists' best work. I think that this is a sign that they want to push the political angle. Periscope has gone away and Twitter has been trying to hide the political streams. Their current slogan Dailymotion – the home of videos that matter – doesn't seem to be pointing towards the political aspect of the site. Yes, my funny cat videos matter, but then again reading about recent shootings and all the things that affect lives, can make one believe that Daily is a major political site, and even more so..

While they're often of poor quality, they are able to be watched on mobile devices. When I see a great long-running broadcast, I save it to my computer using this online application for downloading videos. It allows me to select quality options as well as video formats. The video is saved on my computer as MP4 files, which is then transferred to my phone. I now have 1.5hr of football to enjoy on my commute to work.

Dailymotion is also extensively used by major companies such as CNN, BBC and other news websites all over the Internet. They also operate their channels on the American market as well however, I think it is easier in their situation. They just take videos from live broadcasts or websites, and then place them on Youtube. They then put them on the main networks, they include Facebook's video streaming channels. Daily Motion, of course, is among them. There's even sad Ted Cruz face displayed on CNN International's Dailymotion page. They must have been laughing a lot. You'll find a section with Billboard videoclips, being produced by Planet Hollywood. You could say they're simply copying their Youtube channels over to Daily motion, because, of course it's not difficult and nobody is stopping them.. In addition, they may grab a few new fans on other than Youtube networks.


Dailymotion has a wide selection of TV shows and episodes that span across the world. However, I'm not sure where to locate their playlists or collection of episodes from the same show, Google may be able to help me. It's the search engine. Sometimes, while searching for great videos to stream, I stumble upon hyperlinks that lead me to Dailymotion pages. These pages contain episodes from TV series from India as well as Argentina. Just search and select your preferred series. Big Brother Canada? Find it, and you will find more than 300 episodes. That's why I return back to Dailymotion. I have saved a few episodes to my iPhone so that I can then watch them while I'm away. Like I said, the video quality may not always be the best however it works well! I'll be there Daily!
