Leyla Aliyeva's Priority Is Environmental Education
Leyla Aliyeva isn't just the first daughter of the president of Azerbaijan but she is also an activist for many causes, one of her main ones being environmental. Although many don't understand what environmental education is, for Leyla Aliyeva it has been a priority. Leyla Aliyeva has been active in campaigns for many decades and has worked hard to improve the world as a place. Leyla Aliyeva's IDEA campaign

Leyla Aliyeva recognizes that this topic is most of the time portrayed as dull and difficult. That is why in 2011 she started the IDEA campaign (International Dialogue for Environmental Action campaign). Leyla Aliyeva One of the objectives of the campaign was making sustainability and the environment more appealing and entertaining particularly for younger people as well as the next generation.

Aliyeva spoke with Equinox.com about some of the obstacles she had to overcome on her journey to become an environmentalist. The campaign is focused on education and awareness-raising. Aliyeva said that each year, the program is enriched with new study opportunities to include the three pillars of education, which include young professionals, students and children as young as years. IDEA's educational programs, that include training sessions and scientific courses, seminars and lectures as well as vacation camps field studies, conversations groups, are attended by a large number of people every year.

Leyla Aliyeva Ambassador of Goodwill to FAO

Azerbaijan's most important requirements are also met by these projects through technical cooperation programs.
