Have you ever thought of doing something fun while you are making money? Or have you ever thought in your mind that you would ever know how to play the stock market? Honestly, you actually can.
But don't think it's going to be a breeze either. Don't expect t be a millionaire overnight, because that's just not realistic. You do need to take the time to learn about technical analysis. By technical analysis, I don't mean throwing a couple of stochastic indicators on your charts, and have them tell you what to do. Unfortunately, that's what a lot of traders think technical analysis is.
You may wonder why the stock market price moves every second of the day. Some think it has to do with the business buying and selling goods consistently and that causes the price of these companies to fluctuate. That is not true at all. The market is better to be though of as a person with varying emotions. The emotions of Mr. Market are that of all the traders who buy and sell stocks on a minute by minute basis. When traders are looking to buy he will send prices of an underlying asset up and when people are looking to sell he will send the price of the underlying asset down.
The brain is a complex machine that makes decisions based on logic, intuition, emotion, and millions of variables that cannot be defined in an automated trading program. The human element can be extremely profitable and cannot be mimicked by a computer. Ironically, it is this very quality that inhibits many knowledgeable traders. How can day traders learn to use their emotions for them and not against them?
Good Money Management- We all know that poker players know how to handle their money properly. They bet accordingly and make wise decisions when it comes to betting. This is an important attribute for day traders to know where to put their money.
The time frame could be anywhere from 4 weeks to a year. Long term trading is where the investor holds onto the stock or investment for a long period of time. Usually these stocks will have some type of dividend where you can earn money will holding onto the stock. Time frames for this type of stock can be anywhere from 1 year up to 20-30 years or the life of the company. A day trader is something that is very risky. A day trader will purchase a large amount of a stock, hold on to it for a limited time, and then sell the stock to make a profit. These stocks are usually gone at the end of the day trading the stock market. Time frame for this can be 5 minutes to a couple days. Whichever option you chose to use, it takes some time to research and figure things out and hopefully get lucky with the stock you chose.
In trading, your entries and your exits must NOT come naturally at first. Human nature is responsible for the fact that 90% of those day trading tips trading the eminis lose money. If you follow the herd, you'll lose money too.
If you're thinking about getting into day trading, you'll also need to build up a support network. That requires dealing with a broker, as well as finding investors who will help you apply leverage to the market. You have to understand that this is work, and that this kind of work requires intelligence, focus, and a strong will.
The "big contracts" or SP Maxis were invented first and they're still around. With the big contracts, a lot of money changes hands. When the price of the SP Maxis moves one point, $250 per contract moves with it. The SP Maxi contracts trade in a literal "pit" where the traders, called "locals," shout at each other, buying and selling for everyone who wants a piece of the action.
Currency pair: have a better understanding about the pair of the currency you are trading because every currency pair has its own individual "personality", spread, liquidity you have better understanding of currency pair for better profit.
The single biggest question that new traders ask is how much can I make trading the stock market? They all want to know what annual return they can expect to make, or how much monthly income they will generate.
The biggest thing you have to do in stock trading is to dabble in several stocks in several industries and in several economic sectors. Also in this day and age you can dabble in several countries as well. The farther spread out you are the more you can take risks and not be affected by on industry, market or country going down. There are few ways to do this. ETF's (exchange traded funds) are a great way to do this because they are bought and sold on the market like individual stocks. You can also do high-yield mutual funds but that can get expensive. You can also select and form the portfolio yourself which is a favorite of day traders. All three make you money and all three are staples of stock trading.
If day trading is a career that appeals to you, start by building a support network. Your team will include a broker, and investors to help you gain leverage in the market. Bear in mind that you will need to work, and word hard. You'll have to show intelligence, drive, and focus to succeed.
day trading tips number one is "do not over trade". Your must remain disciplined at all times and wait for the right trades to come. Trust your system and once you identify the best trade of the day, then go for it! You should stick to trading only one or two times a day. Your key to long term success and consistent profit is to make a couple of large trades daily as opposed to many small trades.
Some traders will use technical and fundamental analysis to uncover profitable trading opportunities. This takes a lot of time to learn and even more time to practice. This is really the old school of trading in my opinion.
Unless you are a market maker, an investment banker or a corporate CEO directing the price of your stock, consider yourself a follower. The market does not care if you are a doctor, lawyer or anything in between. Following is not so bad, if you know the direction of the market. Don't try to lead; just learn to follow.
There is no simple answer but I think that having a water tight trading plan and strong mental toughness are two of the main factors that separate the successful day trader from the unsuccessful. If you want to learn how to day trade the stock market you simply must take the mental 'mindset' side very seriously.
Another key reason that CFD day trading the stock market trading strategies are so popular is due to the fantastic leverage you get access to. You see, if you had $5,000 in a stock trading account then you can only trade $5,000 and a 5% move on $5,000 is only $250.
The market is bullish. Or, the market is likely to go down. Or, who knows? Sell your holdings and wait for a trend to develop.. You have to be on the right side of the market. Never go short a rising market. Never go long a market that is dropping. These principles sound so simple, who would ever disregard these rules? Many people do. I know I have.
Most trading platforms allow you to day trade after filling out the proper paper work and funding your account. I use Think Or Swim trading platform. You can make up to 3 day trades within a 30 day period if you have a margin account balance less than $25,000. So even if you are just starting out you have the opportunity to grow your account with a minimum investment.
