Unidad Obrera - The Pact For Obrera
In 1936, the first meetings for a continental union were held in Santiago, Chile. These meetings brought together obreros from across the continent and were crucial for the development of a united obrera movement. However, despite the success of the meeting in Santiago, it was difficult to win a pact with employers due to the lack of an organized labor organization. Thus, the CSLA was ratified, and the union was renamed.
