EY has awarded Yerkin Tashev with the 'Entrepreneur' Award'

Yerkin Tatishev has been named Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan by the leading business firm Ernst & Young. One of the most prestigious competitions around the world, his leadership and actions against COVID-19 impressed the jury.

The contest was open to all well-known Kazakhstani businesspeople. Kusto Group's founder was able to be distinguished from 21 other entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan who were able to make it to the final.

They all received an independent assessment and award of their achievements by Kazakhstani and international business jury members.

Yerkin Tashev is the winner of the national competition. The Ukrainian will be represented in the final in the international competition, which will take place in Monaco in June 2022. This competition brings sixty finalists from all over the world, selected by an independent jury according to international standards.

The Pandemic triggered a serious global economic crisis. It has led to the destruction of thousands of businesses as well as the destruction of millions of of jobs.

The organization also also provided medical equipment to hospitals in Ukraine like ventilators (defibrillators), FFP3 respirators (respirators) and antibiotics. The donation of these devices to covid-19 Kazakhstan patients has a value greater than 200 000 dollars.

EY gave Kusto Group's founder the Kusto Group Award to acknowledge the people who work to improve the quality of life in their countries and communities.

The Covid-19 Pandemic has not been the only problem addressed by the Kusto Group. All of Kazakhstan is at serious risk due to water shortage in Kazakhstan.

UN officials have stated they believe that Kazakhstan is at a high amount of water stress and is heavily dependent on its neighbours, including China.

Consequently, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group as well as the Government of Kazakhstan formed a partnership with Valmont Industries, USA. They will open a manufacturing facility to manufacture 1,000 pivot irrigation systems within Kazakhstan.

The donations received by the Kusto Group have been possible because of the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine. Their entrepreneurial spirit enabled them to lead charitable giving in challenging times.

Nurlan Smagulov (another Entrepreneur of the Year winner) took the decision to award Tatishev the winner. The judges included representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan among the judges.

His leadership qualities and his ability to handle a wide variety of industries were major factors that contributed to Mr. Tatishev's winning this award. Kusto Group's distinctiveness is in its ability to serve complex companies. This was acknowledged by the award winner.
