Minecraft Map Explores the World Of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates

A great Minecraft map can take you wherever you want. Sometimes that's going to be to the world of Bikini Bottom with Spongebob Squarepants DLC, and occasionally, it's going to be to the world of Breath of the Wild thanks to a few mods. Instead, today's map will take you on a journey through the past.

We know that not everyone is interested in history - it's kind of boring and there aren't enough actual dragons for many of us - however, that doesn't mean it can't benefit from being worth celebrating sometimes. This is what the Peace Builders map aims to do, which is an interactive map that follows four Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in their journey to make the world better.



Even if you only go through the trailer, there's much to discover. The tiniest details, like the prize being named after Alfred Nobel, who invented the use of dynamite, for instance is something you may not know. The map features Jody Williams, who was a fervent opponent of mining; Desmond Tutu who helped end apartheid South Africa; and Carl Von Ossietzky who helped uncover the grotesque crimes committed by Nazis.



This map isn't the typical Minecraft map. It's nevertheless worth the time if it helps you gain a better understanding of the past of people who helped the world, not just those who hurt it. It's a great way to learn while playing games. This is exactly what Minecraft: Education Edition is all about.
