Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Break Tourism Entry The Numbers Come From the United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today announced new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and august. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. https://www.makorrishon.co.il/mumlazim/524295/ This is a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.


Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He said, "It's so exciting to witness a further rise in tourism to Israel from the United States, and already reaching or surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019". "The United States is our number one market for Israel's inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. We are thrilled to have witnessed an improvement in the trend and anticipate it to continue throughout the months and years to come."

Canada, which has 7,200 visitors in July 2022, and 6,000 tourists in August, is not far from the United States.

Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) declared that "it is thrilling to watch how Canada's tourist to Israel is growing." We are still not away from our record-setting numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this growth in Israel travel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more comfortable travelling across the world."
