NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswire/ -- In July and August 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of visitors from the United States. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans in July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in August 2022.

Canada is also on track, just as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada received 7,200 visitors and August was a record 6,600.
Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that "it's so exciting to witness the way that tourism in Canada is booming." "We are close to our record 2019 numbers. We anticipate that this trend will continue to grow as Canadians visit more countries.
Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists in 2019 including 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless if they are vaccinated. It has already hosted more than 600,000.
