NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% increase over 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was thrilling to witness the growth in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019 he stated. "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we were celebrating record breaking figures of tourist entry every month. This is a positive change that we are happy to see and we anticipate an increase in the months to come."
