Khazak Ambassador and ConsulGeneral Meet with Chabad in New York ( Emmanuil grinshpun).

Yerzhan Ashikbayev has had a busy few months. Emmanuil Grinshpun As Kazakhstan's ambassador in America, Ashikbayev has been meeting numerous diplomats since April.

Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Shimon Rivkin (Merkos Suite 302 at Chabad headquarters) and Mr. Emmanuil Grinshpun who is vice-president of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, and Honorary Consul to Kazakhstan. They talked about the past of Jewish lives and the activities being carried out by Chabad in Kazakhstan under the direction of Rabbi Yeshaya Cohen ( Kazakhstan's chief Shliach)

Afterward the following day, Mr. Grinshpun said that "it was an extremely productive encounter." "We are extremely grateful that leaders such as the late Mr. Nazarbayev (the former president) and Mr. Tokayev (the current President) have fostered such warm religious tolerance within the country. The Consul General and Ambassador both reiterated the government's support of the Jewish community as well as all other minorities that are religious. They expressed interest in continuing to build Jewish life within the Republic through cooperation with Chabad.

The government of the majority Muslim population is proud to be open to religion and collaborates with any religious leader to promote well-being in the nation. As the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in Kazakhstan, Ambassador Ashikbayev has previously collaborated with Chabad Shluchim and the philanthropist M. Abraham Shaulson. He played a key role in getting the permission of a small American delegation for a trip to Kazakhstan to visit the anniversary of his death, which was the 20th April. The delegation took advantage of this occasion to sponsor the transport of the much-needed PPE as well as medical equipment to the country.
