To join a Whitelisted Minecraft Server

Joining a public Minecraft server is very very easy. To start the main Minecraft game, simply launch the Minecraft launcher. Click Play to launch it. To add the Minecraft server to your account, click the Add Minecraft Server button once you are on the main Minecraft title screen.

Then, type in a name for your Minecraft server in the server name box. Then, in the server address box, type in the Minecraft server address. Typically this will be the domain name, or an IP address, for example, 1.2.3.4. Click "Done" and the Minecraft server will be added to your Minecraft server list.

Then it's simply an issue of selecting on a Minecraft server on the list, and then clicking the Join Server button to connect to it. Let's now look at some issues that may arise when you join the Minecraft server.

Whitelisted Minecraft servers are protected with whitelists, which is an online list that allows users to join the server. To be added to the whitelist which is a list of minecraft names that are able to join whitelisted Minecraft servers, you must apply. Typically, this requires filling out a form and then waiting for a few hours or even days. The majority of Minecraft servers require you to install separate applications for you and your child. Once you're added to the whitelist, you join the Minecraft server in the manner described above.

Non-whitelisted Minecraft servers don't have a whitelist, which means that anyone can join a Minecraft server by entering the server's address into their Minecraft client, as shown above.

The process of applying for an account on a whitelisted Minecraft server is a bit of a drag - especially when you have an impatient eight-year-old tugging at your sleeve - but it does provide an additional level of assurance that all the Minecraft players on the Minecraft server are known to the server administrators.

When joining an Minecraft server, one thing to keep in mind is that your Minecraft client version must be compatible with the Minecraft server version number. In general, the Minecraft versions must be compatible or else you won't be able to connect.

For instance, the latest version of Minecraft is 1.16.4, but many Minecraft servers are running 1.12.2, or even 1.9.4. Sometimes, the Minecraft server's website tells the version they're running. However, sometimes the only way to determine is to try it out and look around.

It's easy to switch between Minecraft versions of the Minecraft client. To create multiple profiles with any Minecraft version you need to click New Profile in the Minecraft launcher. Minecraftservers Then, choose the Minecraft profile that you wish to use from the dropdown list in Minecraft launcher, and click Play.
