These Lenovo Chromebooks are Priced at $99 (or less!) for Prime Day

Three Lenovo Chromebooks on Sale at less than $100 on Prime Day. This is a good price for an Chromebook that is likely to be decent - if one is willing to purchase an additional device.



Typically, our list of the top Chromebook deals for Prime Day includes possibly one Chromebook that costs less than $100. So far, we've seen many and one of them is Lenovo offering a variety of Chromebooks for prices that dip to as low as $79, offering massive savings up to 68 percent off.

Lenovo IdeaPad 3 (11-inch), $99.99 (55% off) at Amazon Lenovo Chromebook 3 (11.6-inch), $79.00 (43% off) at Best Buy


Lenovo Chromebook 3 (14-inch) with Headset Bundle, $89.00 (68% off) at Walmart


Are they worth the cost? Yes, we believe they are, although they're not. All three Chromebooks are powered by a Celeron N4020 processor, which is admittedly a dual-core processor that's a few years old. All three models come with 4GB of memory, which is the minimum requirement for an Chromebook and all three come with 64GB of storage. We've seen Chromebooks with 32GB of storage. However, we've seen Chromebooks with more. If you are using Chromebooks for web-based work the extra space is beneficial. Things like a touchscreen however, are not included. However, the Walmart bundle includes headphones, which is a small but nice addition.



Remember, this is a Chromebook running Chrome OS. It's not equipped to play Roblox or Minecraft like a laptop would. If you have any questions, please refer to our story about Chromebooks and laptops.



The weakest part of all three Chromebooks is their 768p screen that should be sufficient for their small screens, but is still far less pixel-packed than the 1080p screens utilized by laptops in general. Don't be discouraged if you have invested in technology over the years. Each of the three Chromebooks comes with at least one USB C port, and one with DisplayPort over USBC. This allows you to connect an external display to the Chromebook which can increase the screen's size and resolution.



How? You'll require a USB-C hub or dongle from our list of top USB-C hubs for your laptop or Chromebook that can cost you between $20 and $40 depending upon what you buy. You may also find that the 768p screen appears good to your eyes, as these are small, lightweight Chromebooks. You'll require an external 1080p display. What's the best deal of these three? It's obvious that Walmart provides the best value for your money. However, we'd recommend Best Buy's offer, since it has the best price.
