Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry The numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from the year before, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.

Just like the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourist arrivals in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,600 in August.


Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada in the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We're close to reaching our record-setting numbers for the year 2019, and we are anticipating that this increase in travel to Israel will continue as Canadians feel more at home abroad.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since the country's official opening to all travelers regardless of vaccination status in May of this year, the country has already received more than 600,400 US travelers.
