Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Break Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase from 2019, while 71,000 American tourists were in Israel during August 2022.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to witness a second growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. נווה פריצקי Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number in 2019," he stated. "The United States is our number one market for inbound tourism for Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel each month. נווה פריצקי We are thrilled to witness this positive change and expect it to continue throughout the months and years to come."

Canada, which has 7,200 visitors in July 2022, and 6,000 in August, is not far from the United States.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism said that "it's thrilling to observe the way that tourism in Canada is booming." We're close to reaching our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more at home abroad.


Israel received more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 came from the United States. נווה פריצקי The country's official reopening to all travelers in May has seen more than 600,000.
