Update: Mojang has announced that Minecraft 1.18 - Caves and Cliffs Part 2 is now available to download and play on Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Windows 10 and 11 - and Minecraft: Java Edition on Windows, macOS, and Linux.



The next major patch for the game isn't anticipated until next year, at the very least, just a few months into 2022.



ORIGINAL - After a long time, the final Minecraft 1.18 release date is set for November 2021.



After suffering multiple delays and expansions in its development, Mojang is now ready to unleash Caves and Cliffs Part 2.

WHEN IS CAVES AND CLIFFS PART 2 COMING OUT?



Mojang has confirmed that the Minecraft 1.18 release date is set for Tuesday 30 November 2021.

There's been no information on how large the patch will be, or if there will be further updates this year, following the drop of 1.18.

"They have not been cancelled, but we had to put them on hold for now. Although they won't be part of the Wild Update, they are going to come to Minecraft in the near future when we can add them in the most efficient way.



"Until then, you have plenty of mountains to climb and caves to plunge into. That's going to take some time, particularly when you go about it like I do - no planning, but with the most confidence.
