In the past, there have been attempts at making Minecraft things in real life by creating recreations of a piston out of Lego. But there's no way you can ever recreate redstone, the magical substance that can do anything, and use it to create gadgets and devices. Or is it?
A Redditor named Hecbac has been building these devices for two years now and has produced some impressive results as the result. Some of their early work involves things like dispensers, but they eventually went on to make the redstone systems modular. This allows it to function exactly the same way as it does in the game.

Hecbac's latest post shows a complete, functioning circuit. It stops a cute little sheep and triggers the block as well as some powerful pistons. The video's end also shows a variety of different blocks from earlier videos, though we're certain that the TNT is a standard block. It's quite impressive and even more so as it's something Hecbac does in their spare time.
The modular nature of Heblac's designs could easily be turned into a full range of toys, however they've also previously said that monetizing it will take away the fun of creating. We'll have to be awed by the intricate and beautiful Minecraft redstone creations until now. The talent and creativity of the Minecraft community continues to amaze.
In other news, a brand new adventure was released yesterday titled Spellcraft which adds new enemies and spells. It's even better: it's totally free.
