Fortnite Creative can be an effective for learning in the same way as Minecraft can be. It might seem odd to people who aren't in school anymore, but Minecraft's Education edition is quite well-known, which is why Fortnite Creative has courses to help people use both.
The Epic blog published the course on the blog recently. It is specifically designed to assist "secondary teachers understand Minecraft how Fortnite Creative can be utilized in the classroom." It comprises 11 videos and shows a variety of features and functions of Fortnite Creative to show users how they can use it for teaching.

The blog post also discusses the two most significant differences between Minecraft and Fortnite in terms of building. As you've probably guessed Minecraft is about building things brick by brick. Fortnite, however, offers ready-to use assets. It's theoretically more efficient to build in Fortnite however, it may not offer the level of complexity that is offered by the other major differentiator: the coding components.
Minecraft can be used to teach the fundamentals of coding thanks to just how complex command blocks and Redstone mechanisms can be. Fortnite isn't as deep. kind of depth, but it does mimic the same freedom via different mechanics and devices. Things like the Item Placer device allows players to very easily see how they impact the world around them while they're used. It makes for a more immediate feedback loop, which, as anyone who has children will inform you, is an essential element in teaching them. Overall though, it's just crazy to hear Fortnite talk about the inclusion of Minecraft creators so openly.
