Here's a message from Zaire, asking if Blizzard will ever bring World of Warcraft into South Africa. It's true. While we assume that the game is available in North America and Europe (and numerous other regions of the world) however, it's not. There's certainly an industry in a region like South Africa -- Blizzard states that they have between five to seven thousand players there currently (we'd assume they're playing on EU or US servers) which does not include any players who play who play on private servers, which could be as many as 20,000.
iGame is a division of an ISP called iBurst. They claim they are ready to run an official server (within 24 hours!) If Blizzard accepts, they will. However, Blizzard has informed them that they must have at least 40000 players to run an official server.
Another option is"peering" servers "peering" server, which apparently does hook up to Blizzard's servers however, it uses local connections and networks to make things a little quicker. But , again, Blizzard needs to assent to that, and it seems like they're hesitant at the moment.
Oceanic realms have faced issues for a long time, but at least the players there do have a chunk of servers dedicated to them. Wow servers Is there another major place in the world without official WoW support? South America? India?
