According to inews24 Electronics Extreme, a Thai Online Gaming Company, was the new publisher that was granted the rights by Gravity (Ragnarok’s original publisher) to relaunch Ragnarok Online. Some of the countries that were that are included in the relaunch include Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

Let's discuss Ragnarok Online's return to Southeast Asia. With a rumored 1 million dollar licensing deal, Gravity Corporation hope that the new publisher Electronics Extreme will revive the nostalgic memories of the first Ragnarok to gamers, especially Filipinos. Philippine Ragnarok Online was launched in 2003 and gained the peek of its popularity due to its balanced gameplay and active online community. Despite some criticisms of the graphics for the characters, a lot of Filipinos still enjoyed the game. I remember vividly (even even though I didn't play the game, I did watch my cousin play it) that before Ragnarok Online can be accessed it is necessary to have enough load cards. See, Filipinos are really into the game, they are willing to pay just to play.
Due to the decline in sales the Philippine Ragnarok Online's glistening days ended in March 2015. According to me, the reason of this fall is the growth of mobile games, which players like more appealing and portable. But Ragnarok players can only experience the nostalgia of MMORPGs with Ragnarok. In the midst of the declining glory days of Ragnarok, Filipinos find a method to revive Ragnarok by forming or joining private servers.
