War after War. Death after death. Every day, Sam heard countless shots outside his window, always wondering if today would be his last. He lived with his mother, who was also the only reason he was still trying to stay alive. His world was nothing short of rubbish. Today, he would set out again to look for survivors, and people who needed help. His mother would always stay at home, minding her own Buisness. God knows what she did all day. He set out for work, making his way to the city centre.The roads were in ruins: bleak, dark, damp and destroyed. The city centre was once an industrial district, but was now a war torn wasteland. Dilapidated buildings littered the streets, and the paint peeling off the walls made it look like something out of a movie. He searched and searched, but found nothing. He found some food, but nothing too helpful. He made his way back and opened the door. He called out to his mum. No answer. His house was in ruins. Their belongings were scattered across the floor, the windows were broken and broken glass was littered around their house. He called for his mum again. No answer. He frantically searched around his house, looking for his mum, but could not find anything. There were two words on notes scattered around the house: Safe Haven.

Sam had heard this name before. It was a place for all survivors of the war to meet up at. He decided to leave at once, knowing that there was a possibility that his mother would also be taken there. He packed his bag with food, ammunition and water. It was a 25 mile journey from his house, about 2-3 days by foot. His car had been destroyed in the war, and even if he did use it, it would make him too big of a target
