Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism entry Indicators from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% over 2019.

נווה פריצקי "It is so thrilling to witness a new increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers of 2019" said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is our most important destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel each month. We are thrilled to have witnessed an improvement in the trend, and we expect this trend to last for many months and years."

Canada, which has 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in August is not much from the United States.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism declared that "it's so exciting to witness how tourism in Canada is recovering." נווה פריצקי "We are close to our record 2019 numbers. We believe that this growth will continue to grow as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.


In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening for all travelers regardless of the status of their vaccination in May of this year Israel has received more than 600,400 US tourists.
