Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourist entry The numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- New record breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percentage increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

"It is so thrilling to once again see an rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers of 2019," stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. https://www.makorrishon.co.il/mumlazim/524295/ "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 epidemic there was a record-breaking number of tourist entry numbers every month. We are delighted to see this positive shift and anticipate an upward trend that will continue for months or even years.

Canada is also on track, like the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022 Canada received 7,200 visitors and August was a record 6,600.

We are still not away from our record-setting 2019 numbers and we expect that this surge in Israel travel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more comfortable travelling abroad."

Israel hosted more than 4.6million tourists in 2019, 969,600 of which came from the United States. Since May, when the country opened to all visitors regardless of vaccination status, more than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
