Holophone: Amazon claims it will launch a 3D handset with a "hologram display" in June

Amazon is believed to be working on a phone with a glasses-free 3D screen for release in June.
According to reports in the Wall Street Journal, the device will use retina-tracking technology to make images on the display of the smartphone appear to float over the screen like a hologram and appear three-dimensional at all angles.'
The handset will be unveiled in June and launched in September, according to reports.

Following Amazon's entry into the tablet market with Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HD which is being demonstrated here by Jeff Bezo, CEO - Amazon is working on a smartphone that comes with 3D screens.

The average cost of paid games is $1.85
This would put it directly against Apple's upcoming iPhone 6, which is also scheduled to go on sale in September.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also believes that the company will launch a phone.

He recently wrote that he believes Amazon (US) would launch its own smartphone in 3-6 months using the same strategy for hardware for its tablet and e-reader.
The supply chain will begin making stock in Q2 2014 for production.'
It comes just weeks after the firm launched Fire TV which is a set-top box that doubles as a games console.
The box gives users the ability to download TV and movies as well as apps.
To play games, gamers can use a remote, or purchase a separate game controller for $40.
Mike Frazzini, from Amazon Games, stated that each game will be priced similarly to an app for smartphones, with an average cost of $2.

The games that will be available at launch include Minecraft as well as driving game Asphalt 8 and first person shooter Sev Zero, created by the games studio double Helix Microsoft bought recently.
