YouTuber and Minecraft streamer Technoblade has passed away at the age of 23 after a year-long battle with stage four cancer.
The content creator from San Francisco who kept his identity a secret until revealing his name in the end of the video as "Alex" became famous after posting videos of himself playing Minecraft online in 2013. He then went on to gain more than 10 million subscribers.
He was diagnosed with stage four cancer last August. He had spent the majority of the year in a secluded area as he underwent chemotherapy.
Although it isn't known what kind of cancer Alex had, he went on to raise money for charities fighting sarcoma - and in December Alex announced that he'd undergone surgery to remove a tumor from his arm.
The father of the deceased, who is not well-known, shared the devastating news of his son's passing with his many followers in a video uploaded today to Technoblade's YouTube channel. The video was called "So long nerds" and included a posthumous farewell message from the YouTube star.
In a tweet, he called his son 'the most amazing kid', the father then shared an audio of his son who said"If I could have another hundred lives, I think I would like to be Technoblade again every single time because those were the most joyful years of my life.'

Technoblade was a very private and never divulged personal details about his life. mostly uploaded videos about the sandbox game Minecraft.
He was blessed with three younger sisters as well as a brother named Chris, and Floof his dog who starred in his final video with his father.
In one of his videos, he explained that his parents divorced, and that he lived with his father who owns a film studio.
After graduating from high school the student took an unplanned break before moving to Chicago where he went to college to become an English major.

However he moved back to San Francisco after dropping out.
He explains in one his videos how he began the Tecnoblade channel to boost his confidence and get 10 million subscribers.
He quickly built an audience of millions by sharing numerous videos of himself playing Minecraft but he never revealed his face or name to the fans.
He announced the shocking news of his cancer diagnosis in August in a video called "Where I've Been", which has been watched more than 13 million times.
He revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer after he thought he had a fracture to his arm.
The content creator (seen at left) who had not revealed his name or face before his final video was released, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in the year last.
He believed it was a stress injury from his gaming habits and took a few days off before recognizing it wasn't going away.
