Minecraft mod YouTubers are getting into comedy instead of just making useful things. We think that many of the most recent videos, like the one that incorporates chicken hats or the one that transforms swords into helicopters, are more about YouTubers working their muscles than anything else.
While the most effective Minecraft mods are often done by you, it's amazing to see some of the most unusual ideas are realized. There are plenty of things that are enjoyable to watch but wouldn't be fun to do yourself, though having an anvil drop on a person who isn't undoubtedly be amusing.

Rocket ships are a similar idea to the Minecraft cars that were released just a few months ago. There are also less useful things, such as having an anvil spawn whenever the player jumps. We're not sure why you'd like an anvil to fall on you each time you jump but it does make the game feel very cartoon-like and that can only be a good thing.
One of the most ineffective is one that crashes the game every time you launch it. We don't know why you'd want to do that, aside from wanting to avoid it for productivity reasons, but hey. Also, Mysticat points out that Twitter is already available in Minecraft and since the majority of us use the site regularly, it's a big old mood.
