Week 40: Bath

It wasn't the best start to the week. On Monday morning, we found an issue with the water in the bath. The water was flowing down the ceiling to the server cabinet that houses the fusebox, boiler and my rack. I found the router fizzing and dead but we didn't short the electrics. minecraft It could have been more serious. The culprit was the shower handset which was housed in its holster but left switched on to its lowest setting to dribble water down the bath and into the room below.

I had a dentist appointment at 9am that day, so the added stress wasn't a good thing! I was a little flustered when I thought about my damp home under light of the bright lights, but it was all good.

The concern that evening was that there was still water pooling in the bath, so I attempted to get rid of the side panel by removing the sealant using an Stanley knife. It was a waste time since I discovered that our bath had been tiled in and its underneath was made inaccessible. Great.

My dad came to the bath to seal it and reassure us that it would function perfectly. It appears that we'll have to dry the cabinet and paint the ceiling and wall at some point.

- The boys have been learning all about the Queen at school to prepare for their Jubilee party this week. The school had decorated its playground with blue, white and red bunting and the entire school sat down for a Jubilee tea celebration. They can each tell me how old she's, and other royal facts they've learned.

We bought a Nintendo Switch. H had been longing for one but it wasn't the right moment. He was too young. They were out of stock. The price was often increased and the price was often inflated. But using the John Lewis offer we purchased the new OLED version, extra Joy-Cons, as well as three games: Minecraft, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario 3D World (with Bowser's Fury). It's as well-designed and the games as wonderful as I'd expect from Nintendo.

We made it clear that this was the family Switch to ensure that his younger brother and father (and dad!) could play. could play, but he would not claim the box as his own. He was beaming with happiness when we showed him the box. It was thrilling to see it in motion, but nothing compares to the joy it brought to his life.
