Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.1

We're now making available 1.19.1 for Minecraft: Java Edition. This update includes Allay duplication as well as a new Player Safety functionality.



- Added Allay Duplication Tweaked Sculk Catalysts. Chat Trust status - New Options for Chat Preview - Added Player Reporting



Allay



- Allays will dance to an Record playing in an electronic music player. If the Allay receives an Amethyst Shard while dancing it duplicates- Duplication has a 5-minute cooldown



Sculk Catalyst



- Sculk Catalysts will now drop 5 XP instead 20 XP



Chat



- The chat scrollbar was moved to the right. When you type a message the status of signing the chat message displayed is displayed by a colored indicator. The indicator will appear to the left of the chat input field, or to the left of the chat preview if the chat preview is enabled. The indicator will turn blue when the message has been signed. The indicator will change to orange when Chat Preview is enabled and the preview is waiting to be signed



Chat Trust Status



Messages that have not been signed by Secure Chat or have been tampered by the server will be marked. If there is no valid signature or signatures that are missing will be marked as "Not Secure". Note: Messages marked "Modified" are messages that are deemed to be altered.



- The colored indicator remains visible throughout the chat screen. - The icon isn't visible when the chat screen is opened.



- Modified messages will display the original secure text in the tooltip



Chat Preview



- Added "When Sending" Chat Preview option to update chat previews only when attempting to send a message- To confirm sending a message, a second hit of the Enter/Return key is required - The prior "ON" setting was changed to "While Typing"



Player Reporting



It is now possible to report a player for posting abusive messages in the game chat. The reporter must select chat messages that contain objectionable content and the category of the complaint. This will provide the most appropriate context for our moderation staff to take action. This can be done via the social interactions screen.



Multiple chat messages can be selected for reporting. Additional chat messages in conjunction with the selection will also be used to provide more context to our moderating team



- The Report Categories screen has a "Learn About Reporting” button that links to a help article.

Suspensions & Bans



If you've been banned from playing online The game will display a notification screen upon starting. The reason for the suspension and the length of time it has been in effect are shown.



Realms



A message that has been blocked by the Java Realms Profanity Filter will now be marked with a yellow marker. Players will be notified when the chat message they sent has been fully filtered for one or more players on the Realm



Technical



- Chat input boxes will not be used for custom fonts that have negative advances or glyphs that have advances higher than 32



Chat Types



- Chat types that were added to the chat_types Registry are only used for chat with players and not for system messages. The game_info and chat types for system chat have been removed



Chat types do not support overlays. Instead, a system message is the best way to display overlays



This chat type parameter can now be used by msg_command_outgoing



Components



The run_command event on text components does not support sending chat messages directly. Only commands are supported. Values are now required to be /prefixed. - Commands like say that create a signed chat message should be used instead.

- The order of chat messages is now cryptographically verified. This is used to validate the message's context for Player Reports



Server



enforce-secure-profile is now defaulted to true for dedicated servers - Insecure chat messages logged in the server are prefixed with a [Not Secure] tag - Custom servers can set their own auto-completion options for regular chat via a new network packet - Custom servers can hide player chat messages from display via a new network packet- This does not delete player chat messages from chat logs

Get the Release



To install the release, open up the Minecraft Launcher and click play! Make sure that your Launcher is set to the "Latest Version" option.
