The Nevis Range is a beautiful part of Scotland which is home to world-class ski resorts. You can also enjoy biking, tree-climbing courses and mountain gondola rides for the whole family. This is a great place for all skill levels.
Two major areas of skiing are available in the Nevis Range: the Main Corries and the Back Corries. Both offer a variety of snowboarding and skiing options, ranging from beginner to advanced. Additionally the Nevis Range is well-known for its steep slopes and high altitude terrain which include the infamous Back Corries and steep sides of Coire Dubh.
Conditions for skiing
Comparatively to skiing in Alps, Scotland's snow conditions can be difficult. So plan your skiing trip carefully to be prepared for extreme conditions. Because Scotland is exposed to subtropical and polar air masses, it's not uncommon for snow conditions to change dramatically.
You will also need waterproof gloves, a neck warm sunglasses for sports Lip balm, waterproof gloves. You should also take a ski helmet, especially in case you're traveling with kids. Ski resorts can provide ski boots and suits. Many resorts also have online booking options.
