Markus "Notch" Persson is mainly known as the man behind Minecraft However, he's rapidly becoming famous for his eccentric games that encompass everything from speed typing to existential drama. Cliffhorse his most recent title, is evidence enough. It's absurd, as the title implies. You play as a horse that pushes a massive rock ball over the cliffs. However, that barely-there design (which took all of two hours to create) is really the point. Persson describes the game for Windows only as a jab at developers who abuse early access programs by charging money for "minimum effort" releases, where the majority of the content theoretically comes later. He is aware of the irony given that he paid for Minecraft long before it was completed.
In case the absurdity of the project wasn't evident, Notch is only accepting voluntary Dogecoin donations as payment. you can download Cliffhorse completely free of charge if you like. It's a good thing there's no profit model as there are no assurances of updates in the future. Minecraft servers It's possible that you don't like Persson's parody enough to send him virtual currency. But, the launch might be helpful if it prompts developers to do some more effort before they ask gamers to pay.
