Markus "Notch" Persson is mostly known as the creator behind Minecraft however, he's also making a name for himself with his quirky games that cover everything from speed typing to existential drama. If there's any doubt it's best to take a look at his latest game, Cliffhorse. Yes, it's as absurd as the title implies -you play as the role of a horse that is pushing a huge ball over the cliffs, but there's no any more to it than that. The key isn't the barely-there design, which took just two hours to design. Minecraft Persson explained the Windows-only game as a slam against developers who abuse early access programs. He charges a fee for "minimum work" releases which are, theoretically speaking, the most important. And yes, he's aware of the irony given that he billed for Minecraft even before it was even finished.
If the absurdity of the project were not obvious, Notch will only accept voluntary Dogecoin donations as payment. Cliffhorse can be downloaded completely free of charge, in the event that you'd like. It's just as well that there's not a real profit-making model, as there's also "no assurance of updates in the future." It's possible that you don't like Persson's parody to send his virtual currency. However, the launch could be helpful if it prompts some developers to put in a bit more work before they ask gamers to pay up.
