Palmer Luckey, the boy genius co-founder of Oculus VR, surprised those who attended the company's Connect 2 developer conference today with news that Minecraft is headed to the Rift. Oculus hasn't yet set a date for the release of the virtual reality headset. However, Minecraft will be available on both Oculus Store and Windows Store by next spring. It's not surprising that Microsoft will bring the hugely popular game of crafting to the Rift platform since it recently demonstrated a variety of augmented reality versions for its HoloLens headset, and pledged to support both Oculus and Vive's brand of VR.
