Joining an open Minecraft server is very very simple. To start the main Minecraft game, just launch the Minecraft launcher. Click Play to launch it. To add the Minecraft server to your account Click the Add Minecraft Server button after you have reached the main Minecraft title screen.
Enter an appropriate name for the Minecraft server in the Server Name box, and then type the Minecraft server address in the Server Address box. This will typically be a domain name or an IP address like 1.2.3.4. Click "Done" and the Minecraft server will be added to your Minecraft server list.
It's as easy as selecting a Minecraft server from the list, and then clicking on the Join Server button. Let's now examine a few issues that may come up when connecting to an Minecraft server.
Whitelisted Minecraft servers are protected by a whitelist, that is an account of usernames that are allowed to join the Minecraft server. To be added to the whitelist, which is a list of minecraft names that are able to join whitelisted Minecraft servers, you have to apply. This usually requires filling out a form and then waiting for a few days or even hours. The majority of Minecraft servers require you to install separate applications for you and your kid. Once you have been added to the whitelist, you are able to join the Minecraft server as described below.
Non-whitelisted Minecraft servers don't have a whitelist, which means that anyone can join the Minecraft server simply by entering the server's address into their Minecraft client, as illustrated above.
It isn't always easy to apply for an account on a whitelisted Minecraft server, especially when you have an eight-year-old that is always on your mind , but it does provide an additional degree of security for all Minecraft players are aware of the server administrators.
When joining an Minecraft server, one thing to keep in mind is that your Minecraft client version has to match the Minecraft server version number. Generally speaking the Minecraft versions must match, or you'll be unable to connect.
Minecraft's current version is 1.16.4. However, many Minecraft servers are running 1.12.2 or 1.9.4. International directory Sometimes the Minecraft server's website informs you what version they're running, but often the only way to determine is to test it and check.
Fortunately it's easy to switch to different Minecraft versions of the Minecraft client. To create multiple profiles with any Minecraft version, click New Profile in the Minecraft launcher. Next, choose the Minecraft profile that you wish to use from the dropdown list in the Minecraft launcher and click Play.
