The first round begins with betting. Each player will get his turn at the table. Each player at the table will have his turn to call, raise, bet, or fold. After the betting round is over, it is time for the flop.
Pot. Pot refers to the amount of money that players wager on a hand. As players make calls and raises, the pot's size will often increase.
The first step is to decide the size of your wager. This could be anything from a few pennies per hand to several hundred dollars or a pound. You need to pick a value which is proportionate to the amount of your bankroll. If you only have a few dollars or pounds in your account, you should only really be betting a few cents or pence. This will prevent you from going bankrupt if you have bad luck.

All other variations like Five Card Draw, Omaha, Primero, Seven Card Stud, Texas Hold'em and Three-Card Brag have the same winning principle: you need 5 cards to lay out a (hopefully!) winning hand.
