Old School RuneScape's 150th Anniversary Quest as a Kingdom Divided Goes Live

A Kingdom Divided, Old School RuneScape's 150th quest, is now available in-game for PC, Mac, Steam, iOS, and Android players, with full cross-platform play. It is the eighth installment of Old School RuneScape's lore-filled Great Kourend quest series, this level-up quest for experienced players continues the Kourend Council storyline, which has been in development for more than four years.



In A Kingdom Divided, players delve beneath the Kingdom of Great Khourend's facade of peace and prosperity to unravel allegations of corruption at the root of the ruling Kourend Council. There's also a deeper conspiracy that's hundreds of years in the making and a darker power is gathering in the kingdom , one that could change the appearance of Gielinor forever.



Rob Hendry, Executive Producer, Old School RuneScape, said:



"Great Kourend has some of the most rich lore in Old School RuneScape. It hosted our first competitive Leagues event, and is the perfect place to explore conspiracy and corruption within its Council of Governors. While A Kingdom Divided is an experienced-level quest, Old School already has more than 700,000 players who have completed the quest's prior seven instalments and are ready to take on the investigation.



"And like all new content introduced to Old School, the addition of A Kingdom Divided arrives with player approval. We surveyed players on the quest, and it received an extremely high rating of approval. It attracted more than 30,000 votes and 92.7 percent of them supported its inclusion. We're eager to see how players respond to the insanity of the Kourend Council to ensure that Great Kourend is a kingdom that is not divided."



Completing A Kingdom Split will reward players with 26 new spells to the Arceuus Spellbook. In addition to two quest points and a 10,000-experience torch, it gives them two quest points, two quest points, a torch that has 10,000 experiences and an increase in Kharedst's Memoirs charges to 60 and a respawning point at Kourend Castle.



As the content arrives in Old School RuneScape, the living game's login screen has also been given an A Kingdom Divided-themed update and now includes the winning player-designed art from an earlier Old School community contest, where the winner's design attracted more than 30,000 votes.
