Its forthcoming LearnToMod software will teach you how to write JavaScript code by creating Minecraft mods that are suitable to your current level of skill. If you're just starting out with Minecraft, you can make blocks of code to create simple, yet fun features, such as bows that shoot Teleporters. Advanced students, however can write in raw JavaScript and create content that you would never have thought was possible in Minecraft's cuboid world, such as a Tetris mini-game.
The system also comes with numerous motivators in case the gameplay isn't enough. If you are pursuing a programming degree you can earn credit at the University of California San Diego. Although only 150 students are taking tests with LearnToMod currently, you can pre-order it at $30 prior to its full launch in Octoberit's a little late for back-to-school, but just fine if you're hoping to test your skills.
