Film-maker Ben Wheatley has revealed how he used the video game Minecraft to help him create the set for his new action movie Free Fire.
The film that stars Brie Larson, Cillian Murphy, Sharlto Copley and Michael Smiley is dominated by an intricate shootout set in an abandoned factory.
Wheatley revealed that he had designed the factory's layout first in Minecraft during a Q&A session about the film in Inverness.
This helped to guide physical scale models and the final set.
Wheatley, director of High-Rise and Sightseers, was in Inverness on Monday for a tour of UK cinemas to promote his film before it goes out on general release.
The film-maker last visited the Highland city when he was a boy in the 1970s.

Free Fire also stars Armie Hamer, and Martin Scorsese is the executive producer. Scorsese is a huge fan of Wheatley's 2011 film Kill List.
In the Q and A session at Eden Court he said he was working on an adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel Hard Boiled.
Miller's Sin City stories were previously made into films.
Wheatley stated that the adaptation was still going through a writing process and could still be four years away from being complete as film.
