Step 1: Locate a flat ground of the right dimensions, and with grass to make the mill appear more realistic once it's finished. You can skip this step and build your mill on a volcano.
Step 2: Make a 10x10 square to start the foundation of your windmill.
Step 3: Create the first shape five blocks high.
Step 4 Step 4: Seal off the first section by a roof.
Step 5: Decide which side of this box will be front and construct doors there.
Step 6: Remove the grass from the first section and replace it with a suitable material to create flooring. You can choose to use wood, but you can also experiment using different colours of wool.
Step 7: Make an incline that breaks out of the ground floor section.
Step 8: Build up two more blocks around your structure.
Step 9: Make an entirely new box on top of the one you already have in terms of dimensions 8x8x5 (WxLxH).
Step 10: On top of this build a third box of dimensions of 6x6x5.
Step 11: Then create a fourth box with dimensions 4x4x5
Step 12 Step 12: Carefully remove the corners from all the box shapes you've made so far.
Step 13 Replace the blocks using an even darker material. Unprocessed wood is acceptable. This gives the windmill a unique detail and stops it from appearing boring.
Step 14: Put several blocks at the top of your mill. https://screamyguy.net/ These are the blades.
Step 15: Create 4 symmetrical blades using coloured wool. These should be at a minimum of 10 blocks long.
Step 16: Remove the middle section from your wool blades.
Step 17: Replace these taken parts with a fence post. This gives the blades a more solid feeling and helps make it look more authentic from a distance.
Step 18: Head back inside and construct a balcony attached to the 2nd box shape we created earlier. Decorate this with items like barbecue and a picnic table.
Step 19: Add a series of ladders that lead up to the top of your mill.
Step 20: If you want you could add torches around the area to help keep it free from zombies at night or so it looks nicer.
Step 21 Create an opening in the second box we built earlier, that opens onto your balcony.
Step 22 If you haven't done it before, you can add columns to support the balcony. These do nothing but make the mill look more real.
Step 23: Go back inside and build the mechanism for milling wheat. The main components you need to create for this are a long shaft running from the top, where the blades run down to the bottom where you should put two flat surfaces to grind the wheat between. Unfortunately, Minecraft doesn't have the ability to create large mechanical machines like this actually work so you'll have to use your imagination a bit here.
Step 24: You can complete the task by creating a small garden next to your mill. If you're up for it, you could also begin a giant wheat farm next to the door.
