Mojang has confirmed that the new book, titled Minecraft: The Island, is written by none other than Max Brooks, the scribe behind the zombie novel World War Z.

Publishing house Del Rey, a science fiction offshoot of Penguin Random House, is responsible for the entire process. The company has already stated that it was "fortunate" to have someone with Max's exceptional talents and passion for the launch.
While parents are likely to be on the hook for more money but some will be happy that the Minecraft brand is extending its reach to education. Minecraft Education Edition will help teachers from November 1st. The release of the upcoming novels can only further childrens' enthusiasm for reading.
