A Minecraft map can be whatever you want it be. One of the greatest benefits of Sandbox gaming is the flexibility it gives you to create incredible Minecraft builds, or just to spend many hours exploring every single block.
We often witness amazing things due to the combination of the Minecraft playground and the creativity of its players. Some projects take longer than others though, and for today's feat we're looking at a Minecraft city that required 2,400 hours of construction over 2.5 years. That's an amazing commitment and has been considered to be among the top Minecraft cities we've seen.
Since this is an ongoing project, this isn't even the first time this Minecraft map has been uploaded to Reddit in the past, the last posting being in July 2021. "Since my last post, the city has nearly doubled in size, approximately 11 sq km if you include all roads and about 40-50 sq km if you take into account the land cleared." Below is an image that showcases a portion of the city. You can view it on Redditor.
It's almost like feeling Minecraft struggling to launch all of the details and structures as the player zips around. Roads are also marked with markers. There's even an area that looks like an electric grid. Games There are over 2,000 buildings within the city, as well. It could make for an amazing hide-and-seek map however there's no download for it at the moment.
