The farewell message, written moments before his death and read by his father, read: "Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you're watching this. I am dead."
He went on to reveal that his real name was in fact Alex, reminiscing about the time he tricked viewers into believing his name was Dave.
He said, "Thank you all so for your support of my work throughout these years," he added. "If I had another hundred life, I think Technoblade would be my top choice again. Those were the best years of my life."
The online star, who took home Minecraft tournaments and had thousands of fans talking about him in a funny way while playing the game, explained in a February video of a fundraising campaign that he received radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and a limb rescue operation after developing a painful tumour.
Sarcoma, a rare type of bone and soft tissue cancer is the reason for his death.
He revealed his diagnosis of cancer in August 2021. He explained that he initially thought the pain he was experiencing was from an injury to the muscles from repetitive stress caused by playing too much. He was diagnosed with cancer after his arm started swelling.
Technoblade's real identity is not known. But his online avatar was a photo of a crown-crowned porcine.
He has 10.8 million subscribers to his YouTube channel, where his bio reads: "I play video games too much. I may not be the most skilled but I do have hot elbows."
