Mimi used to be a normal little wallababy. Though her parents worked very hard for little money so they were basically poor.

She was bullied in school because of that but was a diligent student and put up with the bullying. Usually brushing it off in public but crying about it at home. She took it to heart but also couldn't turn to her parents since they were working so hard and were always exhausted.

They worked in some kind of metal factory so it indeed was a hard job.

One day a big fight between Sonic and Eggman occurred in the area where Eggman had a big robot to defeat Sonic. But apparently Sonic pushed it too far by bouncing Eggmans robot back and it eventually stumbled and fell right on the factory. Mimi's parents were unable to escape and got impaled by a stack of metal pipes, dying at spot.

Mimi saw the fight from a distance and ran to the factory but it was too late. She watched it going up in flames and saw her impaled parents dead on the ground. She eventually ran away, she thought her life had no meaning anymore. She couldn't process what happened there but saw that it was Sonuc who caused it. Eventually she came along one of Eggmans bases and he remembered her and how she is now an orphan. He offered her sanctuary and warm food under the condition of working for him. She agreed since she had nowhere to go. She also agreed that Eggman did experiments on her.

Now since she's a small kangaroo species she already was a strong girl but through experiments Eggman tripled her strength. Unfortunately it twisted her mind and made her cold hearted and full of rage. All she wanted was to see Sonic dead now. She grew up working for Eggman. And he started to see Mimi like his adoptive daughter at some point. He wouldn't forgive himself if anything happened to her, yet, he trusts her enough to go on duties on her own since she's strong, clever and not naive.
