YouTuber and Minecraft Streamer Technoblade, 23, Dies from Cancer

YouTuber and Minecraft streamer Technoblade has passed away at the age of 23 after an extended battle with cancer stage four.



The creator of content, who hails from San Francisco, who kept his identity in the dark and only made his name public in his final video, titled "Alex," exploded to fame after he began posting videos of himself playing Minecraft on YouTube back in 2013 - eventually getting more than 10 million subscribers.



He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in August. He had spent most of the year away from the media while undergoing chemotherapy.



Although it isn't known the type of cancer Alex had, he went on to raise money for sarcoma charities and in December, he revealed that he had undergone surgery to remove a tumor on his arm.



In a video that was uploaded to Technoblade's YouTube channel on the day of the release that was titled "So long nerds," his father who is not known was able to share the sad announcement of his son's death with his many fans, while relaying a posthumous farewell from the renowned YouTube star.



He called his son "the most amazing child" and shared an audio recording of his son. He stated that if he had another hundred lives, he would choose to be Technoblade again because those were the most memorable years of my life.

Technoblade was a very private person who never shared his personal details. He mostly posted videos about the sandbox game Minecraft.



He was blessed with three younger sisters, an older brother named Chris, and a dog named Floof who was in his video of farewell with his father.



He revealed that his parents divorced, and that he lived in the same home as his father who runs an entertainment studio.



After high school the student took an unplanned break before moving to Chicago where he attended college to study English major.

After dropping out, he returned to San Francisco.



In one of his videos, the man explained how he came up with the Tecnoblade channel for the sole purpose of gaining confidence and gaining 10 million subscribers.



He quickly built a large following, sharing multiple clips of playing Minecraft with them, but he never revealed his name or even his face to fans.



In August the same month, he revealed the shocking news of his diagnosis with cancer in a YouTube video entitled 'Where I've been'. The video has since been viewed 13 million times.



He told the story of being diagnosed with cancer after he thought he had an injury to his arm.

Thinking that it was a strain injury from his regular gaming, he decided to take several days off before realizing it wasn't going away.
