قرص کلردیازپوکساید داروی ضداسترس در گروه سنی بزرگسال به اندازه ۵ تا ۲۵ میلی گرم و به تعداد سه یا چهار بار در روز تجویز می شود. شما پورفیری دارید (یک اختلال آنزیم ژنتیکی که باعث علائم پوستی یا سیستم عصبی می شود). شما رقیق کننده خون مانند وارفارین می گیرید (کومدین، جانتوون).
در صورت ابتلا به گلوکوم ، نارسایی کلیه ، قلب یا کبد ، باید به پزشک / روانپزشک اطلاع داده شود تا وی بتواند سایر گزینه های مناسب درمانی را نیز در نظر بگیرد. در صورت عدم وجود گزینه دیگر ، توصیه می شود که دوزهای روزانه بین 5 تا 10 میلی گرم باشد. اگر این دارو برای استرس کم مورد استفاده قرار گرفته، دوز آن فقط سه بار در روز آن هم با میزان ۵ الی ۱۰ میلی گرم خواهد بود.
کلردیازپوکساید به منظور کاهش فشارهای روحی و برای ترک الکل مصرف می‌شود. این قرص در دو دوز 5 و 10 میلی گرم (کلردیازپوکساید 5 و کلردیازپوکساید 10) در داروخانه‌ها موجود می‌باشد. یکی دیگر از موارد کاربرد آن در برطرف کردن علائم ترک الکل است. در افراد معتاد به الکل ، ۳تا ۸ ساعت پس از آخرین مصرف الکل ، علائم ترک آغاز می‌شود .
