Re: sample 40 and above tend to be more representative and stat tests become more accurate over 40 so that would be a better sample ( 20 in each group) but you could justify 20 ( 10 in each group) by saying it would be quicker and convenient to test. Also stipulate would it be every 5th person off the register?
Build in some ethics to the procedure eg right to with draw at start and thank them at the end ...even though i say don't include if you're not asked it would be appropriate here
