This handbook will show you the purpose of each individual role in the G4S Security Department. If you are
unsure what your role is formed to do, please use this as a reference. Please note that these roles may also have
other responsibilities at times.
>> Low Ranks <<
Security Intern - This rank is classed as a training officer role. Attend a session to gain access to G4S.
Junior Officer - First officer role. Assists other members of staff to maintain safety to the premises.
Security Officer - Second ranking officer, ensures that all clients are safe and do not by any circumstance cause difficulties.
Senior Officer - Helps the lower ranks if an error is made; patrols the area making sure that all is well.
>> Middle Ranks <<
Supervising Officer - Supervises Low Ranks within the department.
Deputy Lead Officer - Helps to lead officers.
Lead Officer - Directs all officers to success.
>> Leadership Council <<
Area Manager - Manages the area / Helps lower role sets to fulfil their tasks, etc.
Department Oversight - Oversees and employs members of G4S.
G4S Advisory - Ensures that all members complete their jobs correctly; trains and instructs officers.
Board of Security - Team of people who enforce policies to officers, and ensures that all officers have a job to complete.
G4S Inspector - Highest role in the department: this is obtained by 1 person at the most. This user oversees ALL Individuals in the force.
