How to write a plot twist
story line ideas-
-kill of a seemingly important character you grow up with a best friends who comforts you after the
death of your last remaining family member only to find out
that the friend was the killer (reveal a clue at the end)
-elevate a seemingly minor character
- have the protagonist uncover the fact that someone isn't who they claim to be
-make the plot twist have a negative/ positive consequence on the protagonist
-use foreshadowing to set the stage for a deeper plot twist
Sad scene ideas for you book-
- a character is forced to choose between two people they love -one character has to betray the other in order to save them
- a character does and gives and endures so much but it still isn't enough/ it was all for nothing
- a character arrives too late to save someone they love - a character dies right before they get the happy ending they deserve
- a found family falls apart after one of them is killed - a strong character who's been resilient throughout the whole book
finally just breaks/ gives up
- a character dies before their love interest tell them they love them (or the other way around)
- a character can't do/no longer enjoys something they used to love because of mental or physical trauma
