In 1993, we drove all the way up the west coast to Medewi. The west coast is pretty boring beyond that. While most people only travel to Java to get on the ferry, there is some snorkeling and diving in the NW of Bali.

Bali is the perfect place for those looking for a peaceful holiday. Bali's beautiful natural features include miles of sandy beaches, exotic wildlife as well rivers and lakes. Surfers know Bali well.
Mum also fell in Bali on another holiday. All she did was to break her reading glasses as she fell on her head. She was left with some scratches and a dark eye for the remainder.
This bali travel tip should be kept in mind as you set foot on the tropical island after a 12 hours long haul flight. If you are approached with a better price', you should decline immediately.

Another tip for Bali that I can share with you is to avoid the crowded areas of Kuta beach, in the southern portion of the island. Bali offers much more than partying, hustle and bustle. Take a day trip at least up through the mountainous center of the island or the gorgeous north coast of Bali i.e. Lovina Beach or Singaraja. You will be amazed at how affordable the Lovina hotels are. The ocean is a lot calmer on Bali's north coast and the whole area feels in a way like a step back into the 1970s. You might find the peace and tranquility you were searching for when you made your travel arrangements.
